The negative reviews are astounding!!! If you want a fancy hotel, go pay for a fancy hotel!! Yes it smelled of cigarettes , but we've paid more than double at other places and had the same experience! The shower in our room had a clogged drain, but they took care of it immediately. It took a bit for the water to heat up, but once it did it was very hot! Our room was VERY clean and the bed was comfortable enough! NO loud neighbors. The rooms are small, but we don't typically go stay at a Hotel, to stay in our room. It's a place to sleep and bathe for us. Bring a few extra pillows if you can't get them from the staff..It's close to the beaches, and several good restaurants are nearby. We will definitely use this place and recommend it to our friends!

No Wi-Fi, no HBO, rooms smell bad, bathrooms scary old, took forever to get hot water. And, not much cheaper than the Best Western a mile away. Just look past this place.

This is the nicest place my family has ever stayed.

The bathroom door knob fell off every time you would open or shut the door. Also a BIG reason I would not suggest this place is we did find a Crack pipe under the bathroom sink! Prior to this happening, we even got stopped by a police officer because we were just walking to get ice cream, as they informed us that someone unfortunately overdosed in the room we were staying in and sadly passed away. The police also informed us to keep the door locked. The police informed us that it was not a family safe stay and to "get your money back and go to a holiday inn"

Horrible. Couldn't stay the second night. The room stunk of stale cigarettes. It smelt like someone smoked there for 30 years. Was so bad, it gave us a headache.

This autumn I have returned to the legendary Holly Hill Motel at a time before sunset when an extraordinary glow transforms coastal landscapes as if in a dream. We follow the guiding light of a kind hostess as the wizard leads us along a storybook path to one of the immaculate themed rooms crafted in nautical driftwood decor. "And there my eyes saw the secrets of golden light, and of the sea, and of the winds how they blow across the land, and the secrets of the clouds". A story told to remember the welcoming warmth of this place and the special folks behind the scenes.

I have not met such nice people until we stayed here
